What are the Maritime applications?

The marine environment is particularly vulnerable to salt water and other contaminants. It is also highly dependent on the reliability of machinery and hydraulic systems, as the nearest replacement part could be miles away on the other side of a hurricane.

Technical knowledge section  

Water and solid contaminants are very effectively removed out from the oil with the EF2100 oil cleaning systems.

The EF2100 Oil Cleaning Systems (OCS) are offline units which means that a small amount of oil is taken from a tank or continuously bypassed from a main ring line, cleaned in the OCS and then returned as clean oil into the oil system/machine concerned.

The OCS are individual circuits and will not affect any functions in the concerned oil system/machine. The standard cleaning systems consist of 1-6 cleaning housings which are connected in parallel.

Oil volume and viscosity decides the number of housings needed for a proper cleaning efficiency. Each system consist of motor with pump, oil sample valve before and after/bleed valve, drain valve, pressure gauge and armoured hydraulic hoses. The components are mounted on a steel plate.

Oil Heating belt, support legs, visual flow indication, flow control incl. Display with alarm functions, 3phase motor, replacement of motor & pump by pressure reducing valve, air pump, non-return valve or systems for ATEX directive.

Europafilter compressor cleaning system Functional description

Functional description: Oil flows through IN inlet hose at a pressue (dependent on type of compressor system) between 10-20 bar to EF oilcleaning systems pressur reducer (3). Pressure reducer (3) regulates pressure to appr.3-4 bar wich is suitable for the filter housing and the filter insert (4). From the pressure at 3-4 bar oil is streaming through the filter insert by the pressure drop over the filter to the outlet side. When oil is flowing through the filter housing (4) oil tank is filled (2) until its getting pressurised. Oil pump (1) starts automatically when pressure reaches between 0,5-1bar in the tank (2). Oil pump (1) builds a oil pressure that will enable the clean oil to return to the compressor throught the outlet hose. Oil pump stops automatically to avoid dry run when oil pressure in oil tank comes down to 0,2 bar. Oil runs continously in the compressor system and will during operation gradually be cleaned. Best performance for the cleaning process is when Inlet and Outlet hose are connected to each side of the the compressor.
