Ships Stability and Rolling Period

General remarks on measuring and recording of rolling periods:

A change of the rolling period may indicate a change in vessels stability provided that measurements were taken appropriately. Therefore, it is recommended to measure and record the vessels rolling period once per watch when the vessel is at sea to monitor the ships stability during the voyage.
